Tuscan Sun

This golden Tuscan Sun Paperblanks journal celebrates the art of ornament, flights of filigree and the fullest expression of the decorative arts in pattern on paper. The original book of designs was published in the 1890s by Ginés Codina y Sert, and the sense of visual abundance and splendour is as welcome today as it was then.

Even more beautiful in real life!

I was unprepared for just how shiny and wonderful this cover was going to be in real life. It's so incredibly beautiful that I was a little hesitant to write in it, but in the end the feeling of getting to open it every day is incomparable, and the promise of being able to splurge on more Paperblanks journals once this one is filled is too strong to resist. The (acid-free, and sustainable!!) paper is thick enough that my fountain pen doesn't really bleed through, the journal opens flat and overall is great quality (A ribbon marker that isn't hanging by a literal thread?! Say it ain't so!) and sturdy-looking. I love the little blurb and memento pouch!
