Maya Blue

Combining the Latin words “filum” (thread) and “granum” (seed), silver “filigree” describes an art form that is achieved by first die cutting a base layer of silver sheets and then meticulously etching elaborate grooves into its surface. The polished binding seen on Paperblanks Silver Filigree Maya Blue Address Book is inspired by a 1697 French edition of Johann Arndt’s Paradiesgärtlein.
